PACKAGING PRESENTATIONS

This fleshy, tasty and refreshing fruit is also known as "peach of the tropics". It is the most important member of the Anacardiáceas family or cashew family, genus Mangifera, which comprises about 50 species, native to Southeast Asia and surrounding islands, except the African Mangifera found in Africa.

It is currently recognized as one of the three or four finest tropical fruits.

Minerals / Mineraux

Vitamins / Vitamines

For its contribution of provitamin A and vitamin C, it is especially recommended to those who have a higher risk of suffering from these vitamins: people who can not tolerate citrus, pepper or other vegetables, which are almost exclusively source of vitamin C in our diet ; for those who must carry out a diet low in fat and therefore with a low content of vitamin A or for people whose nutritional needs are increased. Some of these situations are: periods of growth, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Also, tobacco, alcohol abuse, the use of certain medications, stress and diminished defenses, intense physical activity, cancer and AIDS, and chronic inflammatory diseases decrease the use and cause poor absorption of nutrients.

Vitamins A and C, as antioxidants, help reduce the risk of multiple diseases, including cardiovascular, degenerative and even cancer. In addition, because vitamin C increases the absorption of iron from food, it is advisable in case of iron deficiency anemia, accompanying iron-rich foods or supplements of this mineral as this accelerates recovery.

Its fiber content gives laxative properties. Fiber prevents or improves constipation, helps reduce blood cholesterol levels, good glycemic control and has a satiating, beneficial effect in case of diabetes and excess weight, however, in adequate amounts.

Its content of potassium should be taken into account by people suffering from renal failure and who require controlled diets in this mineral. However, those who take diuretics that eliminate potassium and suffer from bulimia will benefit from its consumption since mangoes abound in this mineral.

MANGO

PROPERTIES

Recipes

Mango and feta salad

Mango green smoothie

200 g of mixed lettuce

100 g of mango

100 g of feta cheese

80 g of avocado

80 g of fresh onion

40 g of strawberries

1 clove garlic

30 ml virgin olive oil

10 ml white wine vinegar

a pinch of salt

We wash the mixed lettuces and let them drain while we prepare the salad. Chop the peeled mango and the peeled avocado. We make the base with the lettuce already drained and, on them, we place the pieces of mango, avocado, the scallion cut into thin slices and the feta cheese in pieces.

We make a vinaigrette with the olive oil, the white wine vinegar and a few pieces of strawberries, and shake without breaking the strawberry, so that its juices are mixed with the vinaigrette. This sauce can be prepared about 30 minutes before so that the flavor of the strawberry has more presence in the vinaigrette. We serve the freshly dressed salad so that the lettuces maintain their smoothness.

300 g of mango

200 g of fresh spinach leaves

100 g of whole celery with stem and leaves

200 g of royal apple gala

100 g of ice

20 ml of lemon juice

250 g of water

Clean the spinach and celery leaves, chop and place in the blender jar. Peel and chop mango and apple.

Place the fruits together with the ice, the vegetables and a little water in the blender glass, add the lemon juice and grind until you get a creamy texture like sorbet.

We serve freshly prepared, with a straw and a few pieces of mango accompanying the green mango smoothie.
